The time has finally come.. I can write about football that actually has happened recently. I was considering doing a winners and losers type of article but instead we will take a quick glance at each game and I’ll give you what I got out of It.
Nebraska 22 –Illinois 30

I’m going to restrain myself from bashing Nebraska for 4 paragraphs here and instead begin with what went right for Illinois. Brandon Peters went down after just 4 pass attempts and the Illini offense showed It was capable of winning a conference game with a backup QB in. Artur Sitkowski the Rutgers transfer showed he was capable of executing a gameplan and not losing the Illini the game. Calvin Hart Jr also had himself a day for the Illini defense. Moving onto Nebraska and I’m not really sure what to say that hasn’t already been said. Adrian Martinez has not improved as a passer since his freshman year. If you watch early in the game he’s throwing off his back foot and not following through passes resulting in balls over receivers heads or just flat out missing targets. I do think Martinez has value as a runner as he showed throughout the game. Another takeaway is that while everyone wants to act like Lincoln Nebraska is burning down over this loss the defense played fairly solid. The offense and special teams have to improve though as you can basically turn this game on as a special teams coach and say “ Here is what not to do “
UCONN 0 – Fresno State 45
When is the end? That’s what husky fans surely have to be asking themselves after another blowout loss under Randy Edsall. The team is just flat out bad and undisciplined. One play in particular wee just embarrassing.

This is unacceptable. Here’s a video link to watch for yourself. https://twitter.com/actionnetworkhq/status/1431702870961831936?s=21
I’ve never seen a team with such poor fundamentals in every aspect of the game. As for Fresno State they dominated as they should’ve and I worry they may be a darkhorse to give my Oregon ducks this weekend.
Hawaii 10 – UCLA 44
I’m going to be honest I didn’t watch much of this game so I’ll keep this one short. UCLA wasn’t overly impressive in this game but the run game was a force. I don’t think UCLA is a threat to LSU next week.
